Check your 'setinit.log' file to see which version of SAS you are running.
Version 8: DEFAULT path to find "setinit.log": C:\Program Files\SAS Institute\SAS\V8
Version 9: DEFAULT path to find "setinit.log": C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1

If you are using SAS 8.0, or SAS 8.1 or any earlier version (except on a Macintosh), you will need to upgrade to SAS 8.2 or SAS 9.1.3.
