SAS Software and Services Grant Program1999-2004

SAS Institute, Inc. and NC State University entered into a 5 year, $1 million Master License Agreement (MLA) for SAS software and services. This program ensured that students, faculty and staff had access to SAS Institute's software, consulting and training. An overview of SAS Institute, its products and services is provided for your information. A full copy of the MLA is available here.

The MLA included separate provisions for academic and administrative uses and contained several qualifications and restrictions. Full details of the qualifications and restrictions and terms and conditions are contained within the MLA.

SAS Software and Services Grant Program 2005

SAS will extend the 1999-2004 grant for an additional year. The new expiration date will be December 31, 2005.

SAS Strategic Accounts Program/SAS Educatonal Accounts Program 2006-2009

Qualifications

  1. Academic users (Teaching and Research) - To qualify as an academic user, you must be a registered NC State University student or a member of the NC State University faculty or staff and must use the software in support of classroom work, classroom instruction or academic research within an academic department of NC State University.
  2. Administrative users (Internal)- To qualify as an administrative user, you must be an NC State University employee who will use the software in support of NC State University internal administrative purposes.

If you are a qualified user who agrees to the terms and conditions of the MLA and would like to obtain SAS software for a computer on campus, your laptop or personal computer, please complete the SAS software registration form (Request a copy of SAS or JMP here). A valid NCSU USERID (Unity account) is required to access and complete the form.
