Training : Hot Fixes
Procedure for Applying Hot Fixes
(you can also download install directions from SAS - usually located in the same area as the hot fix)
- Go to SAS Web page and save Hot Fix file to a portable media (like a floppy or burn to a CD ROM) or directly onto the target computer.
- Close all applications (especially SAS if you were using SAS)
- Double click on the file you downloaded to apply the Hot Fix
- Reboot the computer if prompted to do so (may not be necessary)
- Note: you can recycle/delete the hot fix file you down loaded after you have applied the fix; there is no need to keep the file.
